5.30-8.30pm Tuesday 16th July 2019

Garden Court Chambers, 57-60 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Holborn, London, WC2A 3LJ.

Kindly hosted by Shu Shin Luh, barrister at Garden Court Chambers.

Join us in celebrating our successes in the last year and plotting how we challenge ongoing medical mistreatment in immigration detention.

We will also be launching our latest research report on the harm caused by the ‘Adults at Risk’ policy.

With help from barristers at Garden Court Chambers and so many other inspirational partners, we have assisted many hundreds of immigration detainees get the healthcare and medical evidence they needed, successfully litigated against the Home Office’s ‘Adults at Risk’ and ‘Removals’ policies, and much more. We will be contemplating how we can collaborate in the coming year to challenge massive injustice faced by immigration detainees. Also, reflect on the launch of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Immigration Detention for which we act as the secretariat.

We aim to bring together many of the fantastic people we need to be working with, including volunteer doctors and interpreters, lawyers, ex-detainees and campaigners.  There will be good food and wine.
